Preschool Celebrates “Fun on the Farm”!

“The LORD will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest.” Psalm 85:12
Fun on the Farm! is the theme for Preschool’s annual Harvest celebration, when the whole campus transforms into a farm during harvest season. It is the children’s favorite event because they get to dress-up into their favorite thing on the farm, from pumpkins to piglets, we have them all. The creativity is endless!
There are lots of fun activities, such as face painting, pumpkin patch, exciting games, messy art projects, science and sensory stations. Each class prepares and leads age-appropriate activities with the help of our amazing parent volunteers. All parents are also invited to join their child’s class for the outdoor fun at the pumpkin patch.
On this day of celebrating God’s Harvest, children learn through play. There’s a virtual cornucopia of experiences on the farm to foster their curiosity- exploring what’s inside a pumpkin, learning what animals eat, and how vegetables grow.
During the celebration we also read the book called “The Pumpkin Patch Parable”. This book tells the story of a farmer who plants pumpkins, and explains that just as the farmer carves his pumpkin that then lights up the night, so God does the same with His children, making us full of life and light.
Each year we look forward to the Harvest celebration and the memories we get to create together with our little ones!
