Middle School Proclaims: “His Way’s Better!”

Our middle school students are learning in powerful ways that Christ’s way truly is better. Through our chapels and daily interactions, we’ve seen God move in remarkable ways. This year’s chapel theme, “His Way Is Better,” reminds us that following Jesus leads to the truest, fullest life. As Scripture reminds us:
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8–9
Our middle school chapels have been a special time of heartfelt worship, led by and joined in by our students. It’s been so refreshing to see their genuine hunger and boldness for Jesus—a desire to worship Him freely and grow deeper in their faith. Over the past several weeks, the Holy Spirit has been clearly at work in our midst. During one particularly moving service, about 75% of our students responded to an altar call, with many giving their lives to Christ for the first time and others choosing to “make their faith their own.”
In a world filled with distractions, lies, and pressures, we want to continually point our students to Christ and His way—the way that brings peace in place of anxiety, purpose in place of confusion, and hope in place of despair. Our prayer is that each student would experience the joy and fullness that come from surrendering to Jesus and allowing Him to fill them with His life—the better life He promises.
