Bradshaw Christian School Achieves Dual Accreditation from ACSI and WASC, Celebrating Our Commitment To Excellence in Christian Education

Bradshaw Christian School Achieves Dual Accreditation from ACSI and WASC, Celebrating Our Commitment To Excellence in Christian Education

We are proud to announce that Bradshaw Christian School has successfully achieved accreditation from both the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). These two prestigious accreditations represent a significant milestone in our journey, reaffirming our unwavering dedication to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and continuous improvement.

Why This Matters

Receiving dual accreditation is a commendable accomplishment as they complement each other. ACSI accreditation affirms our commitment to providing a Christ-centered education that nurtures students spiritually, academically, and socially. WASC accreditation, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, validates the academic rigor and institutional integrity of our programs. Together, these accreditations assure parents and students that Bradshaw Christian School meets the highest standards of educational quality and spiritual formation.

For our students, this means their education is not only rooted in faith but also recognized for its academic excellence—preparing them for success in college, career, and life. For parents, it provides confidence that their children are receiving a well-rounded, future-ready education in a nurturing and value-driven environment.

A Journey of Growth and Reflection

The accreditation process is an extensive, multi-year endeavor that requires thorough self-evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and an in-depth assessment by a team of experienced educators. Throughout this journey, we examined every aspect of our school—from curriculum and leadership to operations and spiritual formation—ensuring that our mission is lived out with authenticity and purpose.

During their visit, the accreditation team shared a profound observation:

“Bradshaw Christian School’s mission statement and statement of faith are actively reflected in the daily life and operations of the school.”

Their words affirm that our identity is not just written in documents but deeply embedded in our classrooms, hallways, and community.

Reflecting on their time with us, the accreditation team expressed appreciation for the impact of our ministry:

“We had the privilege of witnessing firsthand how Bradshaw Christian School serves as a ministry that enriches God’s kingdom in the greater Sacramento area.”

Our Strengths Recognized in the Accreditation Report

The ACSI and WASC assessments highlighted several areas in which we excel:

Fostering Meaningful Relationships: “BCS fosters meaningful and personalized relationships between students and staff which support student belonging and spiritual development.”

Commitment to Academic Excellence: “It is clear BCS has a strong and effective academic program…”

A Christ-Centered Environment: “[Bradshaw Christian School] create[s] a strong Christian atmosphere that enables the school to thrive and achieve its goals.”

Prioritizing Student and Staff Well-Being: “[Bradshaw] exhibits a strong and intentional commitment to the well-being of its students and staff.”

Embracing Innovation and Technology: “The school is continuing to expand its understanding of advancing technology… including AI.”

These commendations reflect our dedication to fostering a culture of excellence, care, and faith-centered education.

Looking Ahead—A Commitment to Continuous Growth

While accreditation is often viewed as a final milestone, we see it as a launching point for future growth. One of our Accreditation Steering Committee members and High School Teacher, Bryan Rollofson, shared his thoughts on the process:

“The end of an accreditation cycle can be a stressful time and process for a school that already spends so much of its time, energy, and talents on so many aspects of its existence. It’s important to remember, then, what accreditation is meant to represent. It represents the continued commitment to growth, excellence, and self-improvement that any quality institution should strive for. As Christians, as educators, and as members of this school community, we are all called to rise to a higher standard, and I am grateful to the visiting team for giving us guidance, support, and encouragement moving forward into the next cycle.”

Strengthening Our Mission for the Future

Achieving dual accreditation from ACSI and WASC—each for a full six-year term, the highest possible award—reaffirms our dedication to providing students with a rigorous academic foundation, spiritual formation, and leadership preparation that will empower them to navigate an ever-changing world with confidence and purpose.

Our Head of School and founder, Carl Eastvold, shared his thoughts on the guiding light that has illuminated the course over the last 32 years and continues to give direction into the future:

“Our success affirms the belief that the cooperative work of the many in our community has opened the door to an expanded view of Christian education, where we, as the Body of Christ, made up of individual members within this community, “grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” (Eph. 4) It’s this love that also marks out our future course, individually and corporately, where we, walking by faith, are being led to a greater participation and a heightened view of our purpose.”
