BCS Elementary Takes Spirit of Christmas to Elk Grove Food Bank

Every year the Bradshaw Christian elementary school families participate in a Christmas outreach to our local as well as global communities. This year, it was the Elk Grove Food bank that benefited from the generous hearts of our students and their families. With the global pandemic and our own felt impact of following many health and safety protocols, it was uncertain as to the feasibility and participation in undertaking any outreach that would add greater burden to our families. But, those concerns proved to be unfounded as the opportunity to express love and giving was not only appreciated by our community, but it surprised and overwhelmed the staff at the food bank. When they weighed all the food it came out to be 1901 pounds!  They told us they are “blown away by the amount of donated food” and “it is unbelievable”!
