Varsity and JV Football Offer Their Time and Strength to Serve
The Bradshaw varsity and JV football teams continued their annual tradition of spreading the bark around campus play yards. There were 100 yards of bark to spread under and around preschool and elementary play structures. The boys sacrificed their cool, early morning practice hours, usually reserved for their strenuous football drills, to bless the kids who were so excited to see the new bark make its way to their play areas.
Their willing hearts and strong bodies were also asked to help with some heavy lifting as the admin offices were making some changes for the new school year. Taking time out of their first week of practice to serve the school and students in these ways is a testament to what they proclaim on the back of their practice shirts; “Give everything or give nothing”.
It may be “Hell Week” for us and many other football programs in our area, but taking time out this week to serve others brought a little bit of “Heaven” to the Bradshaw community. A huge thanks to Coach Rickert and the “Boys of Fall”!
