Elementary Brings Warmth and Comfort to Hospitalized Kids
Christmas Outreach Blanket Drive
Each year the BCS elementary students get together to spread God’s love to our community. This year we decided to give some comfort to children who will be in the hospital during the Christmas season and beyond. During the months of November through December we held a blanket drive for Shriners Children’s Hospital, and our elementary students and families showed up in a big way, donating 319 blankets! Vice Principal, Mrs. Dressler, was nearly buried in her office by all the soft, cuddly, and colorful blankets. Our students were so happy to be able to make a difference in the life of another child who is, or may be, going through a difficult season in the hospital. What a huge and tangible way to spread the message that God cares for each of His children!
