Academic and Career Counseling

Academic Guidance:

The goal of the Guidance Department is to inform, advise, assist, and monitor each student’s academic progress throughout each school year.  We accomplish this through the following services and resources:

• Frequent Guidance News and Events email updates
• Orientation to Bradshaw Christian’s course offerings and graduation requirements
• Group and individual advice regarding schedule choices
• On-going monitoring of student’s fulfillment of graduation and college entrance requirements
• Parent/Student/Teacher conferences as necessary
• Referral to peer tutoring
• Referral to after-school math lab
• Administration of national tests- PLAN, PSAT, AP

College/Career Guidance:

We offer college and career related services and events that allow students the opportunity to be exposed to a wide variety of possibilities.  Some of those services and events include:

CRAM Trips (cramming as many colleges into one trip as possible)

• SoCal CRAM (11/12^th grade)- Tour of 4-6 Southern California colleges
• Bay CRAM (10/11^th grade)- Tour 2-4 Bay Area colleges
• Local CRAM (9/10^th grade)- Tour 2 local colleges 

Events on Campus

• We have 15-20 colleges visit our campus each year
• Senior Career Workshop- Offered by DeVry University
• Junior Getting Into College Night
• Administration of the Princeton Review’s PRA- (SAT/ACT assessment)
• On-campus SAT/ACT preparation classes
