Standardized Testing

In April of each year our school participates with thousands of other schools across the nation in taking standardized tests. This test is one measurement that is used to evaluate how well our school performs in comparison to other schools.

TerraNova3 1st-8th Grade Standardized Test

This assessment is published by CTB/McGraw-Hill, and, through its partnership with ACSI, is being made available to Christian schools across the nation and around the globe.

Be assured that the TerraNova 3 is a technically sound and up-to-date assessment program and provides the most recent national comparisons.  TerraNova 3 is used by 42% of the schools testing in the United States, which is a definitive majority of the testing demographic.

This test is designed to measure students’ understanding of concepts, processes, and objectives taught throughout the nation in Reading, Language, Vocabulary, Spelling, Word Analysis, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Additionally, some students will be taking the “In-View” test which is designed to measure students’ projected ability.  The “In-View” portion of the test is administered to students in grades 1, 3, 5 and 7.
