Registration Process

Parent/Guardians will:

1. Make an appointment for parent/ family interview with school administrator. The purpose of the interview is to introduce the philosophical and educational mission of BCS and to gain understanding of the needs and expectations of potential new students. A tour of the school and facilities is provided at this time.

2. Receive an application packet during initial appointment.  Complete application in full and submit required papers which will include a copy of child’s birth certificate, immunization record, physician report, prior school records and recent copies of standardized testing (Students should score at or above the 50th percentile in all previous SATs.  Particular consideration will be given to scores in the “Total Reading” and “Total Math” categories).  Sign form indicating receipt of the BCS Parent/Student Handbook.  (NOTE: During admission process, BCS administration may contact previous schools attended in order to gain understanding of past academic, behavioral or emotional stability concerns or issues.)

3.  Schedule and have child complete pre-enrollment grade level testing.  Pay student testing fee at the time of testing.

4.  Be notified of their child’s admission or denial. Once all paperwork is received and reviewed and all steps have been completed, administration will contact parents.  Admission/Denial classifications are:

  • Successful Admission- student has successfully completed all aspects of admission and is secured in their enrollment.
  • Probationary Admission- student has deficiencies in academic performance, school attendance, emotional stability or behavior. Teachers and administration will monitor student’s performance. Admission is provisional.
  • Denial of Admission- student’s past academic behavioral, emotional or attendance patterns prevents admission to BCS.

5.  Pay non-refundable registration fee upon successful or probationary admission.  Students will not be considered admitted and/or a recipient of a secured spot in the school until admission and testing fees are paid in full.
